Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ gives direct answers about ordering, pickup, California delivery, payment, product formats, dosing, storage and support at St Ides Syrups. It is written for adults 21+ and summarizes how the store is configured now. Your checkout screen, product label and order messages are the final source for a specific order.

Use the FAQ table of contents to jump to a topic, or read the three sections in order if this is your first purchase. Throughout this FAQ, “milligrams” means the THC amount printed for a product or serving. Start low, wait through the full onset window, keep every product away from children and pets, and never drive after using THC.

Ordering and Delivery FAQ

Ordering questions come first because address, age and payment determine which options checkout can offer. If an answer in this FAQ describes a delivery zone or payment method, still confirm it on your own checkout screen. The store cannot apply a method that the address or order does not qualify for.

Where can I order St Ides products?

Order through the St Ides shop or start from a collection page for Syrup, Shots or High Tea. Each product page shows the current price and stock status, and the cart lets you review flavor, strength and quantity before checkout. Review those details carefully because similar flavors can have different strengths.

The store’s configured fulfillment is Los Angeles pickup and delivery inside California. A product being visible online does not mean it can be delivered to every address in the United States. Enter the actual destination at checkout and use only the methods offered there. Do not use a forwarding address to move a California order across a state line.

Do I need to be 21 or show ID?

Yes. St Ides products are for adults 21 and over, and valid identification should be ready for pickup or delivery handoff. The person receiving the order needs to be eligible; do not arrange for a minor or an unavailable adult to accept it. If age cannot be verified, the handoff may not be completed.

Keep the order confirmation available as well. The exact pickup instructions are summarized on Pickup & Delivery, and any message sent for your order should be followed over a general FAQ answer. Protect your personal information: show ID at handoff when asked, but do not send full ID images through an ordinary web form unless you are given a secure, specific reason and channel.

What delivery options and timing can checkout show?

The current WooCommerce setup has a Los Angeles zone with local pickup and a $0 delivery method described as 1–2 business days for eligible ZIP codes. A rest-of-California zone has a $0 delivery method described as 2–4 business days. Those are configured estimates, not a guarantee for every order, holiday or address. Checkout determines the methods available after you enter the destination.

If no method appears, double-check the address and ZIP code first. Then confirm that the destination is in California and that the cart contains deliverable products. If a California address still receives no option, send the city and ZIP—without payment details—through Contact so the store can check the zone configuration. Do not place a pickup order as a substitute unless you can actually collect it.

Can I pick up an order in Los Angeles?

Local pickup is configured for eligible Los Angeles orders. Choose pickup only if checkout offers it, then wait for the store’s ready or confirmation message before traveling. Bring valid 21+ ID and be ready to reference the order number. The Pickup & Delivery page is the place to review the current handoff expectations.

If someone else will collect the order, ask the store first whether that is acceptable and what identification or order information they will need. Do not assume a screenshot of your confirmation transfers eligibility. The person collecting must still meet the age requirement, and the store may need to match the order to the purchaser.

How do I pay for an order?

At checkout, choose Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App — Contact Support. After you place the order, contact support with your order number. Support will confirm the total and provide the current payment details and the exact reference to use. Your order stays on hold until ST IDES verifies the payment. This website does not collect payment card details.

Do not send any payment before support confirms the current details for your selected option. Keep the payment confirmation and order number together. The payment FAQ post explains the process in more detail, but the instructions attached to your order take priority if anything differs.

Product and Dosing FAQ

Dosing answers in this FAQ are general harm-reduction information. They cannot predict how a product will affect you. Food, tolerance, body chemistry, medication and health conditions all matter. When a product page and this FAQ use different timing language, follow the narrower instruction on the product you actually bought.

Which product should a first-time buyer consider?

Most first-time buyers should compare a 10MG High Tea can first. The serving is already portioned, the amount is printed on the can, and there is no dropper measurement to estimate. Use one serving in a setting where you can stay put, set a timer and wait at least two hours before judging the result.

A measured syrup serving is the other cautious route, because the syrup tinctures are described with 5MG dropper steps. It requires more attention but can start lower than a whole can. Read the First Time THC Drink Guide and the 10MG starting-dose FAQ before deciding. A 100MG shot is not a first-trial shortcut.

What is the difference between syrup, shots and High Tea?

Syrup is a 2oz tincture bottle listed at 1000MG THC total and designed for measured servings. A shot is a 4oz ready-to-drink bottle listed at 100MG THC total. High Tea is a 12oz ready-to-drink can listed at either 10MG or 50MG, depending on flavor. The total container number is therefore not comparable until you identify the serving size and format.

Choose syrup for flexibility, a 10MG can for the simplest lower-dose serving, and stronger ready-to-drink formats only when you already understand your response. Flavor should be the last decision. Similar names can hide big strength differences, especially Southern Peach and Wild Raspberry High Tea, so review the product title in the cart one more time.

How long can onset take?

St Ides product information lists onset windows of roughly 30–90 minutes for syrup and High Tea and 45–90 minutes for shots. Those windows are estimates. A recent meal, a low starting amount, individual metabolism and prior tolerance can make the effect feel later or different. The absence of a strong feeling at 30 minutes is not evidence that the serving failed.

Set a timer when you finish the serving and wait at least two hours before considering more. Do something low-demand while you wait, drink water if you are thirsty and avoid adding alcohol to a first trial. If you feel uncomfortably impaired, stop, stay with a trusted sober adult if possible and seek medical help for severe or worrying symptoms.

What does “start low, go slow” actually mean?

It means the first serving should be the smallest amount that lets you learn, not the amount you hope will be perfect. Measure or choose one serving, record the product, milligrams and time, then wait through the response. Change only one variable on a later day. That record is more useful than copying a friend’s dose or chasing a review.

Going slow also means not stacking formats. Do not add a shot because a tea feels delayed, and do not keep sipping syrup while the timer is running. If the first experience is stronger than expected, the lesson is to lower the next serving, not to test the same amount in a more demanding setting.

Can I drive after using THC?

No. Do not drive after using THC, and do not plan a session around needing to drive later the same day unless you are certain you are no longer impaired and legally able to do so. The safer FAQ answer is simple: arrange to stay where you are or use a sober driver. The site also has a dedicated THC and driving rules post.

This rule also covers e-bikes, scooters, boats and machinery where impairment can hurt you or someone else. Feeling more alert after coffee or fresh air does not prove reaction time and judgment have returned. If transportation is uncertain, postpone the serving. No drink format in the shop is “mild enough” to make driving a responsible plan.

How should I store St Ides products?

Keep every bottle and can in its original labeled container, tightly closed, away from direct light and heat. Use a locked cabinet or another place children, pets and uninformed guests cannot reach. Do not pour a THC drink into a plain bottle or leave a brightly branded can beside ordinary soft drinks. The storage guide covers light, heat and air in detail.

Check the package for batch and date information and follow any product-specific storage instruction on the label. Heat inside a parked car is a poor storage plan. If a container is damaged, swollen, leaking or no longer identifiable, do not guess—contact the store with the product and batch details or dispose of it according to local guidance, out of reach of others.

How long does a 1000MG syrup bottle last?

Container math gives a simple estimate: at 10MG per serving, 1000MG equals about 100 servings; at 25MG, about 40; at 5MG, about 200 measured steps. Those are arithmetic examples, not dose recommendations. Your actual serving should come from the label, your experience and a cautious first trial, and the dropper should be measured rather than estimated by eye.

Calendar life is different from serving count. Storage conditions and the date printed on the package matter, and a bottle does not become safe or effective forever just because liquid remains. Keep the cap clean and closed, avoid contaminating the dropper, and stop using the product if its appearance or smell changes unexpectedly or its printed date has passed.

Labels, Support and Policies FAQ

Support answers work best when you identify the exact product or order. Keep your order number, product name and package batch information together. Never include account passwords, card numbers or full identity documents in a general FAQ or contact message.

How do I read milligrams and servings on the label?

Look for two ideas: total THC in the whole container and THC in one serving. A syrup bottle can list 1000MG total while its dropper allows much smaller measured steps. A High Tea can lists the full can at 10MG or 50MG. A shot lists 100MG in the bottle. The serving direction tells you how the container is meant to be divided or consumed.

Also check for additional cannabinoids in the product name. Night Cap Berry syrup lists CBN and Wired Apple lists THCv in addition to THC. Those details belong in your comparison even when flavor and price look similar. If any part of a label is unreadable or differs from the product page, photograph the panel and ask the store before use.

Where can I ask about batch or lab details?

Send the exact product name and batch information through the Contact page. St Ides product copy describes labeled, lab-tested batches, and the batch reference is the key the team needs to identify what you have. The FAQ post How to Tell If a THC Product Is Lab Tested explains what information to look for on packaging.

Do not rely on a screenshot from another flavor or an old order. Batch details can differ, and a general claim is not the same as documentation for the container in your hand. If the report or batch answer matters before purchase, ask before checkout; if it matters after delivery, include a clear photo of the batch panel without exposing unrelated personal information.

St Ides FAQ support and product lineup

What if an item arrives damaged or the order is wrong?

Contact the store as soon as you notice the problem through Contact. Include the order number, product name, batch information if visible and clear photos of the damage or incorrect item and outer packaging. Do not consume a damaged or leaking product while waiting for a reply. Keep the item and packaging until the store advises you what to do.

This FAQ does not promise a refund, replacement or return outcome because the correct handling can depend on the condition, product and order status. A prompt, specific message gives support the information needed to decide. If a package appears opened before handoff or the contents do not match the confirmation, say that plainly in the first message.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Contact the store immediately with the order number and the exact change requested. A change is not confirmed until support replies, especially if payment has been sent, the order has been packed or a delivery has been dispatched. Do not place a second order assuming the first will be cancelled; that can create two live orders and two payments to reconcile.

For a support-coordinated payment, include the payment option, sender name, date, and the confirmation or reference support asked you to use so the payment can be matched; never send account passwords, one-time codes, or full card numbers. For an address correction, provide the corrected address in the same message and acknowledge any reply promptly. If the order has already left, support can explain what options remain for that shipment.

Do you ship outside California?

No—this FAQ describes a store configured for Los Angeles pickup and California delivery. Checkout has California zones and no delivery method for the rest of the world. The Where Does St Ides Ship? article explains the California-only setup, and the destination entered at checkout controls the final options.

Do not ask a friend, mailbox service or freight forwarder to move a product across a state line. If you live outside California, use a lawful retailer in your own jurisdiction and check that jurisdiction’s rules. If you are visiting California, you still need an eligible California pickup or delivery plan and valid 21+ identification at handoff.

Read the store Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before ordering, especially the sections on age, delivery and payment. For state regulatory information, consult the California Department of Cannabis Control. Website articles are general information and do not replace the current law, a product label or professional advice.

For more product education, browse THC Guides, the FAQ category and Locations. If your question is about a specific order, Contact is faster than searching the blog. Include the order number in the first line so support can route it correctly.

Still Need Help with This FAQ?

If this FAQ does not answer your question, send one clear message through Contact. State whether the topic is an order, product, batch or delivery address, then include the relevant order number, product name, city and ZIP, or batch code. Specific details prevent a back-and-forth and keep personal information to the minimum needed.

How This FAQ Is Updated

This FAQ is checked against the live shop configuration, product pages and linked policy pages. If a delivery method, payment option or product detail changes, the checkout screen and package label should be treated as newer than this FAQ until the FAQ text is revised. That order of authority keeps a helpful FAQ from becoming an outdated promise.
